Semaphore Retrievers

The "Semaphore"  kennel name is derived from the
semaphore flag signaling system the US Navy has used to
communicate silently with other ships during combat.    

1965-- Semaphore Retrievers started in Michigan  with my
first Labrador Retriever "Molly" out of  NFC Bigstone Hope,
with plans to get her ready to be my hunting partner.  

1969-- I built my facility in Michigan as primarily a   
boarding kennel, and training business. I gained
experience from running AKC Obedience trials, Hunt Tests,
Field Trials,  and CKC Field Trials in addition to breed title
events such as WC and WCX.  In addition many fine Gun
Dogs have started their careers at Semaphore.

1990"s--Started traveling in the winter months to warmer
states like KY, Calf, Texas to extend my training season.

1999-Present-- Now as a Texas resident while enjoying
the year round training weather I have been very
fortunate to train and handle many excellent dogs  both in
the past and at present. They continue to present me with
irreplaceable memories.  Check out the Photo Gallery
